HOW TO: Male Torso Anatomy by Valentina-Remenar HOW TO: Male Torso Anatomy by Valentina-Remenar
Wow...I didn't post any tutorials for a long time...I was quite busy ^^; Anyway...here's tutorial on how I paint male torso anatomy. My OC Ash was happy to take his shirt off for you ;P (I didn't post any pic of him on dA yet...WIPs you can check on my Tumblr and Twitter xD). I used Photoshop CC while I drew this...but if you have older PS versions like CS5, CS6 this should work fine too. In other programs some settings may be different. And this time I'm posting image tutorial...no programming this time :XD: I thought it would be easier for you to have a pic :dummy: And special thanks to Clawed50 who edited text in this tutorial :3 Well...I hope you'll learn something new and that this will be useful. Enjoy :la: Other tutorials by me you can check below:

NOTE: Again...this is the tutorial on how I paint anatomy, in my style...I draw semi-realism/anime so the anatomy isn't 100% realistic. This ISN'T reference sheet for different body types (lol, like that's not obvious). I'll make this one later. Though inner body anatomy I draw the same for all body types.

This is actually anatomically incorrect. The navel is in between the second and third row of abs, and those oblique muscles on the side don't extend past the first row of abs.

Every person has differently built muscles, with different placement... and yes, this isn't meant to represent realistic anatomy, which I also specified under my description. It's done in manga-realism. And anatomy was mostly referenced from 3dtotal's anatomy figurine which I also own. If I tried to make it realistic it'd be done differently.

Thank you... and I meant to do female ones too, though I'll probably do it quite a bit later since I myself have to practice drawing women more haha. I'm most comfortable while drawing men, that's why most of my tutorials cover that topic so far :D
